Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is to describe the necessary basic theory of heat transfer and transport of moisture in building constructions related to thermal retrofitting of building envelopes. Only the relevant part of the theory is described and illustrated by examples in order to give the reader a fundamental understanding of the advantages and disadvantages related to different solutions. The most common available solutions are described with respect to construction details, thermal bridges, energy saving potential, condensation risk and experiences from real cases.
