Formation of particulate matter and associated organic matter during combustion

    Project Details

Formation of particulate matter during combustion is studied through measurements of total particulate emissions, different fractions of associated organic matter, and particulate size distributions from diesel engines and plants for gasification of biomass. Through comparison of measurements with mathematical modelling of the formation processes, we hope to obtain a better understanding of the origin of the different fractions of the particulate matter.
