Innovation Fund Denmark, Grand Solution project: In FDP, we will develop an integrated production-ready system comprising a full scale controllable multi gripper grid mounted on a robot platform together with all the necessary mature software for controlling the draping process. The FDP system is capable of picking up plies from a flat surface and draping them in a pre-defined order onto a double curved layup surface.
The project strengthen the value chain in the composite industry by improving the primary operational activities with an improved production process. With the new hardware and software systems, we will be able to build better composite parts at an affordable cost.
