Description

This project will assess and document the biological, economic, and regulatory/policy contexts of potential commercial aquaculture activities in offshore wind farm areas on the US Atlantic coast. The project will identify three case study areas along the Atlantic coast that will span a diverse range of biological, economic and regulatory conditions as well as species distribution. Assessment and summary of the opportunities and barriers to entry for co-location of commercial aquaculture with Wind Energy Areas will be compiled.
