Evaluation of the attenuation of non-methane-organic-compounds (NMOSs) in the top cover of a french landfill

The purpose of this project is to build on existing Danish and U.S. work to investigate both the mecanisms and rates of attenuation of NMOC´s in landfill cover material. This will be done through a combined field and laboratory investigation. The specific goals of this project are to evaluate both a) the potential for NMOC attenuation, as determined by laboratory batch studies; and b) the measured rates of NMOC emissions in the landfill cover material at a French landfill.
