    Project Details

    Description

The aim of the project is to investigate the suitability of the relatively inexpensive Chinese evacuated tubular solar collectors for different types of Danish solar heating systems.
It will be investigated which companies are producing the different types of evacuated tubular solar collectors. Further, the quality, costs, efficiency and the export related conditions will be elucidated for the different collector types. Based on the investigations a few promising evacuated tubular solar collectors will be tested in a small SDHWsystem in the Institutes test facility for solar heating systems.
The thermal performance of different types of solar heating systems with different types of evacuated tubular solar collectors and with normal flat plate collectors will be calculated. Small and large SDHWsystems, systems for combined space heating and domestic hot water supply and large solar heating plants will be taken in calculation.
Based on the investigations the suitability of the different evacuated tubular solar collectors in connection with the different systems is estimated.
