Description
The main objective of the proposed project is to provide evidence, which will facilitate modification of the certification schemes enhancing IEQ towards higher productivity and health with low energy use.
The three specific objectives are:
1. Benchmarking IEQ and energy in the existing certified buildings with reference to buildings w/o certification;
2. Demonstration of the effects improved IEQ conditions in certified buildings on the performance of workface as well as on health and general satisfaction with the working conditions, and relating these effects to energy use;
3. Formulation of recommendations for policies regulating construction and renovation of buildings ensuring that future certification schemes will put more emphasis on IEQ without compromising low energy use.
