Elucidation of Functional Groups in Pectin

The aim of this project is to develop new techniques for immobilization of pectins to solid supports and to conduct binding studies. It will be carried out in collaboration with associate professor Owen R. T. Thomas, IBT DTU. It is part of a larger effort on structural elucidation of functional groups in pectin fragments between research groups at DTU (IOK and IBT), the University of Southern Denmark at Odense, and Danisco-Cultor. This research program is funded by a Centerkontrakt.
