Description

The objective of the project is to demonstrate how end consumers through demand response can provide service that help the operation of the power system and overcome challenges introduced by renewable energy and new consumption from heat pumps and electric vehicles. The project will be demonstrated on the unique Bornholm EcoGrid consumer platform

Project vision:
- Design and demonstrate a market platform for consumer flexibility compliant with the “supplier centric market model”
- Develop and demonstrate “demand response products” based on consumer assets such as heat pumps
- Demonstrate how participation in the demand response market can create value for the consumers
- Design and demonstrate “demand response products” can delivering to both to the DSO and TSO
- Demonstrate interoperability between aggregators to show compliance with the “supplier centric market model”
- Deliver a flexibility market design specification based on open standards and secure communication
