Project Details
Description
The first national Danish micro satellite "Ørsted" requires a "state of the art" attitude reference instrument in order to be able to fulfill its main scientific goal. The Space Instrumentation Group was given a contract to develop such an instrument "The Star Imager". The satellite has been ready for launch since medio 1997. However, internal technical problems at USAF has delayed the launch that is now rescheduled to February-1999.
