Description
The Star Imager attitude reference instrument was originally optimized for low-earth-orbition mission. In order to make it applicable for deep space NASA and ESA missions the instrument was improved substantially under this work. The new version of this instrument was dubbed the "Advanced Stellar Compass" by JPL.Currently derivatives from this instrument are baselined for several international missions of Denmark, Japan, USA, Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and France.
