Description

Lack of efficient cleaning technologies restricts the Danish sea cage farming industry from expanding their production. Improving the sustainability of their production methodology may improve the production in existing and in new net cage farms within current allowances. 

The current project aims at resolving to what extent knowledge from land based recirculating aquaculture systems may be applied to sea cage farming, focusing on sludge collection and development of more sustainable feed.
