Description
The project has as aim to develop methods for producing Low Trophic Aquaculture (LTA) with emphasis on seed production of flat European oyster (Ostrea edulis), sugar kelp (Saccharina latissima) and dulse (Palmaria palmata). The purpose is to create a stable seed production that can support a growing industry in Danish waters.
The project is part of DTU Aqua's advise to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in relation to aquaculture. Hence, the project also includes support tools for public management.
An important part of the project includes supporting LTA industry development by development of methods and by being able to produce seed when needed.
