Project Details
Description
The purpose of this project is to develop a portable library for the basic hydrostatic calculations used in design of ships and floating offshore structures. The functionality of the hydrostatic library includes volumetric calculations, position of equilibrium, stability curves and longitudinal strength. All functionality in the library is implemented for both intact and damaged vessels and can include hull flexibility.
The library is implemented in ANSI C and can be interfaced from most programs using the documented API. The hydrostatic library includes the possibility to load and store data like the geometry of the hull, appendages, compartments and loading conditions in ASCII files.
