Project Details
Description
ESA runs a network of ground stations for communication with its scientific satellites. These stations are equipped with a system for decoding the error-correcting codes used. A new system will be developed during the contract period. The system consists of a frame synchronizer, a Viterbi decoder, and a decoder for a Reed-Solomon code. The role of COM is to produce VHDL descriptions of these elements.
