Description
"Dynamics of the Equatorial Ionosphere Over SHAR", DEOS is a sounding-rocket research-project under the cultural-exchange agreement between Germany and India. The space instrumentation group at IAU are in collaboration with "Arbejdsgruppe Weltraumphysik un Technologie, AWT, in Freiburg invited to contribute with three vector magnetometer payloads. Data-analysis of the magnetometer data from the equatorial ionosphere is performed by IAU and NBI-KU.
The space instrumentation group has designed, constructed and calibrated the triaxial sensors during 1997 and delivered them to AWT for use in there electronics.
The launch of the three sounding rockets is planned to be early 1998.
