Description

ÖKS Interreg Programme: The specific aim of HALOS is excellence in Life Science research and innovation in the ÖKS area. This will be achieved by developing a common and internationally recognised regional Life Science research and
innovation hub, matching Life Science research questions with expertise on how to apply electrons, neutrons, and synchrotron and FEL-light. It will connect research infrastructures with both academic and industrial ecosystems within the ÖKS, and with the unique and highly complementary infrastructure and strong
research milieu in Hamburg through the Work Package: Cross Border Research. Through HALOS a network will be formed with links between industry, the unique regional infrastructures, researchers in the healthcare sector and researchers in academia. The network will deliver cross-border research projects and innovations to further strengthen and develop the ÖKS area. This is vital, as in order to secure long term growth in the region it is key to interlink industry and academia, putting effort into the whole innovation chain. The world class and highly complementary research facilities in the proposed network offer a unique opportunity for innovation and increased business that HALOS will take full advantage of.
