    Project Details

    Description

Three candidate materials for construction of buffer tanks for district heating water is tested for corrosion fatigue properties in a district heating water environment (3 ppm sulphate, 7 ppm chloride, pH 9-10, 90C). The investigation includes Slow Strain Rate Testing of plain tensile specimens, crack initiation testing by corrosion fatigue and crack growth rate determination for Compact Tensile Specimens in the Water environment.
