Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is to elucidate the possibilities for future development of improved control strategies for large solar heating systems for domestic hot water supply. The investigations concerns the electronically controlled pumps UPE 2000 from Grundfos. Laboratory experiments are carried out and the advantages concerning flow control and energy savings are estimated.
The thermal performance of solar heating systems with differently controlled circulation pumps are calculated by means of simulation models.
