Description
This Ph.D research work comprise an in depth literature review in the area of competence related theories within management thinking and formulate two theoretical models: (1) a model for description of competence decomposed in three different types of knowledge: specific, integrative and deployment knowledge, and (2) a model for development of a (manufacturing) competence.
The research ís supplemented by a relatively limited amount of empirical data comprising two case studies and a quantitative survey.
