Description
The overall project goal is to increase the capacity for education and research within RAS in Troms and Finnmark, improving access to relevant expertise between industrial partners and academia in the region.
Sub-goals:
• Establish courses in RAS biology for industry partners
• Establish research projects in collaboration with industry based on relevant topics and challenges.
• Increase the mobility of researchers and students between the RAS industry and universities
• Establish a joint forum to exchange knowledge and experience between industrial players and R&D
• Establish collaboration with leading international R&D institutions within RAS to further
develop knowledge and research expertise.
The project will include meetings at University of Tromsø, at Tromsø Aquaculture Research Station and at commercial RAS operations in Finnmarken. A number of courses (master programme for students and life long learning for the industry) will be held, and researchers and aquaculture experts will share ideas and collaborate, i.e. facilitate exchange of students and research staff as well as joint applied research.
