Project Details
Description
Fire Safety regulations are generally of fairly rigid nature and are often perceived as restrictive to developments in building design and planning. The on-going transition from current prescriptive methods to more advanced performance-based methods in fire safety analysis and assessment of buildings and premises, and the conceivable benefits of the transition, are being studied in a series of M.Sc. thesis projects. Co-operation with Department of Fire Safety Engineering, LTH, Lund University, Sweden.

Key-words: Fire safety, prescriptive & performance-based methods, benefits of transition.
