Project Details
Description
The project is part of a coordinated interdisciplinary research programme "Moulds in buildings" that will run for four years from 1998-2001. More information at http://www.sbi.dk
The aim of this sub-project is to characterize the moulds in water damaged building by their ecological and physiological properties. The main genera are Stachybotrys, Chaetomium, Alternaria, Trichoderma, Aspergillus and Penicillium and the goal is to establish an informative taxonomy for prediction of fungal growth and metabolite production (including mycotoxins) in damp building materials.
