In order to investigate the dynamic behavior, mainly transversal vibrations, in systems with a chain and two or more sprockets a model based on a multibody systems formulation has been developed. The purpose of the project is to be able to model systems with automatic chain tighteners, which may be present together with cranks, cams, and balancing units.
