Description
The work in the CIKS center is focussing on unequivocal classification and identification of industrially important and soil fungi, specific detection of fungi in complex matrices, effective screening for industrially interesting strains, fingerrpinting of fungal isolates and ecology and phylogeny of clonal fungi. The methods used are primarily based on molecular biologicval techniques and chromatography of secondary metabolites.
