Project Details
Description
The main purpose of this project is to estimate the burden of foodborne disease associated with Salmonella, Campylobacter and Verocitotoxinogenic E. coli (STEC) in Denmark. We will use Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALYs) as a health metric, which will allow us to compare diseases according to their public health impact in the population. Additionally, this project will be used to develop a framework for estimating the BoD of other foodborne pathogens (in following projects).
This project is integrated in the Danish Initiative to Estimate the Burden of Food-Associated Diseases.
