Broadband Mixer IC's

  • Vidkjær, Jens (Project Manager)

    Project Details

The project is a study of the requirements for making mixer IC's that meet the specifications in the new SAR radar's, for instance bandwidths form DC to 400 MHz. The ultimate goal is the selection of an appropriate IC technology and circuit configuration, but important issues of the work are the availability of simulation models and tools, in particular the question of whether they are accurate enough to reproduce critical performance parameters for design decisions.
Initially, a mixer design in GaAs was considered. Recently investigations of BiCMOS designs have begun. The work continues as a contribution to the "Next -generation SAR" project
