Description
The aim of the study of boom suspension is to invesitgate the use of active suspension instead of the traditional passive one. A model of a hydraulically actuated active boom suspension has been formulated and a closed loop control system has been designed based on the measurement of the boom height using an ultra sound distance transducer. The system has been tested in collaboration with a Danish boom sprayer producer.
