Activated carbon filtration of water

    Project Details

    Description

Contamination of ground water reservoirs by organic chemical pollutants (solvents and pesticides) is becoming common in Denmark. As a consequence, many wlls have been closed and the loss of water resources has been compensated by savings of water. However, this strategy may lead to a shortage of water, and therefore treatment of the water for the organic chemicals may be required in the future. The purpose of the project was to make a status of the use of activated carbon for water treatment, including the economic consequencen.
