Description
ADOreD is a European Industrial Doctoral Network, granted under the Horizon Europe MSCA programme (HORIZON-MSCA-2021-DN, Grant agreement 101073554).
ADOreD runs between October 2022 and September 2026. During this period, the programme will train and educate 19 highly skilled researchers in the OW and HVDC fields in joint supervision and training between the public and private sectors. The network will be training a new generation of young researchers who will convert their acquired knowledge of offshore wind power and DC technologies to face the fast energy transition in their future careers.
The Project covers 3 key research aspects:
Offshore wind: Wind turbines, wind power collection, wind farms and control
DC technologies: AC/DC converters, HVDC control and DC network operation & protection
AC Grid: Stability and control of AC grids
