Harry C. Bigglestone Award

The Harry C. Bigglestone Award distinguishes a paper appearing in the Fire Technology publication each year.

This award features a $5,000 cash prize from the Fire Protection Research Foundation and is given to the paper that best represents excellence in the communication of fire protection concepts in the NFPA Fire Technology publication.

Harry C. Bigglestone served as a trustee of the Fire Protection Research Foundation and chair of the NFPA Committee on Central Station Signaling Systems. Harry was also a fellow and past president of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and executive director of the Pacific regional office of the Insurance Services Office.
