Profile

Associate professor at the Section for Fluid Mechanics, Coastal and Maritime Engineering.

Teaching (course responsible and main instructor):

  • Introduction to ships and other floating structures (41201)
  • Marine and ocean engineering (41107)
  • Ship Operations (41275)
  • Maritime Engineering at Sea (41280)

Research areas:

Assessment of ships and ocean structures with a main focus on safety and energy efficiency during operations in waves. This includes studies about added resistance in waves, work focused on vessel response predictions, both statistical and deterministic forecasts ahead of current time, and development of methods for wave estimation based on measured ship motions; a work for which The Classical Degree of Doctor Technices (Dr.techn.) has been awarded in 2019.
