Profile

In a time of growing uncertainty driven by unprecedented technological change and amplified by global political and economic instability, my research vision is to advance organizational trust theory in socio-technical contexts, with a particular focus on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)-augmented environments, and to deepen understanding of how trust can be built in technology-mediated contexts as a foundation for organizational survival and success. Drawing on an interdisciplinary profile that combines a PhD in social sciences with degrees in informatics and business administration, and a professional background in technology management, I explore trust as a relational phenomenon emerging through everyday interactions within socio-technical arrangements. I study how trust evolves in technology-mediated environments through qualitative and quantitative approaches, focusing on managerial practices and organizational design.

I defended my doctoral thesis in Social Science at Oslo Metropolitan Universitet in November 2024. The title of my thesis was "Understanding the mediating role of operational steering information flows on work autonomy in public sector organizations". My doctoral study investigated information flows and work autonomy in trust-based public sector organizations. As part of my doctoral program, I also gave a trial lecture on the topic of "Information management for good public service".

Prior to my doctoral study, I spent nearly two decades working in high-tech international companies such as Microsoft and IBM, focusing on value realization from technology adoption and implementation. During my 10+ years at Microsoft, I dedicated the last few years to enhancing employee engagement and maximizing value from modern workplace technology. Additionally, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Microsoft Research, where I explored how video communication can better engage and include users in virtual meetings.
