NGM works with wind data analysis, site assessment, microscale flow modelling, WAsP analysis and application, uncertainty assessment, software development, development of wind atlas methodologies and of wind atlas application guidelines, quality assurance, e-learning. Teaches on DTU courses 46200, 46300 and 46W31; and on continuing education WAsP courses.

More than 30 years of experience in wind power meteorology and climatology; including research and development, second opinion and due diligence studies on commercial terms, teaching, and publication of wind atlases for the European Communities (EU12), Denmark, Egypt, Gulf of Suez, NE China and South Africa. Over 25 years of experience in international wind power projects.
Detailed knowledge of design, establishment, operation and maintenance of wind-monitoring stations; wind measurements, wind resource assessment, wind flow modelling, terrain description and mapping, Wind Atlas Analysis and Application Program (WAsP) models and software, WAsP Utility Programs, WAsP Engineering, WAsP/KAMM methodology, and WAsP Resource Mapping methodology and tools. Author, co-author or editor of more than 150 papers, reports and books in wind power meteorology and boundary layer meteorology. Significant professional experience in the use of WAsP and related software.

International experience

Wind resource assessment and second opinion / due diligence studies carried out for wind farm sites in Denmark, UK, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Cape Verde, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, South Africa, Indonesia, China, Greenland, USA and Australia. Design, operation and maintenance of meteorological stations in Denmark, Greenland, Egypt and Cape Verde. Long-term wind atlas studies in Denmark, Finland, Cape Verde, Egypt, China and South Africa.
