Dynamical systems is the mathematical theory of change in the  course of time. My research is centered on applying this theory  to understand problems in the natural sciences and  engineering. My work encompasses the dynamics of vortices in  fluids, how they appear, interact and disappear. This research is  done in collaboration with the Center for Fluid Dynamics,  Fluid.DTU. I have also done research in systems where the dynamics of different parts take place om very different timescales. Such systems often appear in mathematical models in  chemistry and biology, and a very complex dynamics can occur.
