My research work is focused on development and implementation of numerical methods for structural and multidisciplinary optimization. The methods are typically used for optimal design of mechanical load carrying structures such as offshore wind turbine support structures and foundations. I am the project leader of the research project SELMA: Fail-Safe Structural Optimization funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark.
