I work in the fields of Microbial Ecology, Biogeochemistry and Molecular Ecology with a current focus on the nitrogen cycle in man-made systems. This includes quantification and mitigation of nitrous oxide gas production and emission during waterwater treatment, as well as determination and quantification of the microbial pathways and microbes associated with nitrous oxide production, and their regulation.
