2011 Japan Society for Promotion of Science short fellowship grant  invited by Professor Atsuo Kimura, University of Hokkaido as host

2013 Prague, Czech Republic invited  keynote lecture at the 10th Carbohydrate Bioengineering Meeting and other invited lectures in Sweden and Norway.

Research focus: Glycoside hydrolases and carbohydrate binding modules active on hemi-cellulose and starch
