Profile

As the head of the Computational Autoimmunity group at Dept. of Health Tech, Technical University of Denmark, I manage a research team focused on computational immunology research. We are interested in understanding disruptions in central tolerance and the mechanisms that allow our immune system to differentiate between self and non-self, aiming to uncover the immuno-cellular processes associated with autoimmune diseases. To do so, we employ single cell technology and in that context, we have a particular focus on developing, applying and serving machine learning based bioinformatics tools. Furthermore, we are creators of and responsible for teaching "R for Bio Data Science", which is the 3rd largest course at the department.
