Research topics: Medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques and applications. Sequence development, spectroscopy, functional og dynamic measurements, visualization and MR physics.

 

Overview: The research focus is MRI methodology and technology in a broad sense. This includes imaging and spectroscopy methodology, mostly of general nature or for brain. The developed techniques were used in studies of multiple sclerosis, depression, MLD, and muscle energetics, for example. Recent research includes hyperpolarized imaging, fast imaging, motion correction, encoding of non-MR signals in MRI, and MR current density imaging(MRCDI). Interests also include MR fundamentals, and development of widely used educational material and software made freely available via the DRCMR homepage.

 

Affiliations: Associate Professor at the DTU Section for Magnetic Resonance and active in the Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance. Also appointed as Senior Scientist at the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance, Copenhagen University Hospital Hvidovre.
