Lara Schilling is an assistant professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She received her doctoral degree in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Kassel, Germany.
Her research centres on the integration of digital technologies into sustainable supply chain management, with a particular emphasis on qualitative, interpretivist methodologies, including critical discourse analysis and ethnography. Lara has extensive field experience in low-income settings across emerging markets such as Ghana and Pakistan, enabling her to offer unique insights into the contextual complexities of global supply chains.
Her research has been published in the International Journal of Production Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change, among others.
Lara is on the editorial board of the Journal of Supply Chain Management and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for leading journals in the field, including the International Journal of Operations & Production Management.
