Head of studies for the MSc in Earth and Space Physics & Engineering

Current main research activities: X-ray astrophysics, in particular observational and theoretical investigations of thermonuclear X-ray bursts from accreting neutron stars in low-mass X-ray binaries.

Project supervisor and lecturer for diverse courses. Main responsible of the DTU courses "Astrofysik" (30120 BSc), "Observational X-ray Astrophysics" (30790 MSc), "Astrophysical Data Analyses" (30794 MSc).

Principal Investigator (PI) of the JEM-X instrument onboard the ESA satellite INTEGRAL (INTErnational Gamma-RAy Laboratory) launched in 2002. Leader of the "Long X-ray burst monitoring with INTEGRAL". 
Member (co-I) of the NICER Science Team and NuSTAR Science Team member (X-ray binaries).

Danish representative for the EU COST action PHAROS and former deputy representative for NewCOMPSTAR.

Partner in a number of scientific collaborations and observation proposals.
