Jakob E. Bardram, PhD is a professor in computer science at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and directs the Copenhagen Center for Health Technology (CACHET). He is also an adjunct professor in public health at the Faculty of the Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen (KU SUND). Dr. Bardram is the co-founder of Cetrea A/S and Monsenso ApS, where he is serving as board member and Chief Scientific Officer  (CSO). Prior to this position, Dr. Bardram was a professor at the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU), an associate professor at the Computer Science Department, University of Aarhus, and the co-founder and first manager of the Danish Centre for Pervasive Healthcare. Dr. Bardram is a member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV).

Dr. Bardram's research interests are Pervasive & Ubiquitous Computing (Ubicomp), Software Engineering, Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW); and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). The main application areas of this research is within healthcare, biology, and global collaboration. During his academic career, he has been active in numerous national and european research projects in cooperation with industrial partners. He has published an edited book on Pervasive Healthcare and has published more than 150 original peer-reviewed papers in international scientific books, journals, and conference proceedings.
