Research areas

As part of the NanoPar group (www.nanopar.dk) at DTU and Copenhagen University PhD student Hans Henrik Sørensen has been developing new parallel algorithms for the calculation of electron transport in nanostructures within a Density Functional Theory (DFT) framework. In particular, interest has been on exploring the possibility of applying iterative Krylov Subspace methods in order to reduce the expense of the DFT self-consistent loop.
