Personal profile

I have 20 years of working experience in energy systems and energy policy, with an interdisciplinary profile both in engineering and the social sciences. My research focuses on the role of energy markets and regulation, smart grids and citizens, and modeling energy systems as part of energy systems change. I have also worked on energy research funding management on the EU and Nordic levels, public energy policy in the Nordics and UK, power systems research, and energy industrial policy.

I have an international research career that spans the UK, the US, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. I am an author of >40 scientific publications, including two books, written in cooperation with leading international researchers. I have been involved in several evaluations of major EU research proposals, as a reviewer for main scientific journals, and in evaluations of student theses in the energy field.
