Mit nuværende forskningsfokus er på nanomaterialers toksikologiske effekter i fødevarer og fødevarekontaktmaterialer. Arbejdsområdet er in vitro toksikologiske metoder til bestemmelse af gentoksikologiske effekter, herunder optimering samt validering af metoder.Jeg har tidligere arbejdet med fysisk-kemisk karakterisering samt undersøgelser af toksikologiske effekter af luftforureningsprøver fra ydre miljøer, indendørsmiljøer samt arbejdsmiljøer.
Udover forskning udfører jeg rådgivningsopgaver indenfor gentoksikologiområdet for nationale og internationale styrelser/organisationer samt undervisning på bachelor og kandidatniveau.
