Improving stock assessment models: Moving to statistically sound models, optimize sampling, and including spatial structure.

Computer intensive statistical methods: Markov Chain Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods.

Statistical software: In general, but in particular the languages “AD Model Builder” and "R".
