Personal profile

Profile

My research focuses on the development and application of advanced mass spectrometry techniques for the detection and characterization of environmental and food processing contaminants. I have a particular emphasis on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and N-nitrosamines in food products and biological matrices.

I have extensive experience in chemical screening and compound identification using high-resolution liquid chromatography–Orbitrap mass spectrometry (LC-Orbitrap), with applications including the analysis of PFAS in food and food contact materials.

As a key contributor to the European Reference Laboratory for Metals and Nitrogenous Compounds in Feed and Food (EURL-MN), National Reference laboratory for Persistant Organic Pollutants (Nrl POPs), and coworking PFAS group under EURL POPs,  I support research-based advisory efforts for the European Commission and national authorities. My work in these roles has provided me expertise in regulatory science, food safety compliance, and the translation of scientific findings into policy and regulatory frameworks.
