Collaborated with design team to conceive and create innovative product concepts and provide production support.

  • Became an expert in electrospinning to introduce the technology into the company for synthesizing advance nano-scale fibers which provide new materials properties into composites.
  • Designed and implemented a new transparent armor stack for rock strike-resistant and abrasion-resistant applications.
  • Produced complex proposal design work for the Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, and Disney Research; developing advanced composite systems and polymer matrix composites and providing novel polymer fibers for new initiatives by Disney.

Graduate Research Assistantship


  • Executed and led the design, analysis, and testing of DNA modified by gene therapy carriers to elucidate the mechanism of gene delivery into cells.
  • Collaborated with University of California at Berkeley to learn how to design and build an optical tweezing instrument, which required a versatile tool kit of skills to complete – circuit board assembly, software and coding troubleshooting, and laser and optics assembly.
