The VILLUM Center brings together a group of the world’s leading scientists from DTU, Stanford University, University of Copenhagen (KU) and University of Southern Denmark (SDU) - all of which have worked closely together over the past ten years to exploit the synergies between their various areas of expertise in theory and experimentation. The center is headed by Professor Ib Chorkendorff and based at DTU.

The centre has been made possible by an anniversary grant of DKK 150 million from the VILLUM FONDEN to mark the VKR Group's 75-year anniversary.
